About Executive Compensation Calculator
Use this calculator for a planning scenario, not an equity valuation or tax return. Enter base salary, cash bonus, and only the equity or long-term incentive amount recognized as taxable wage income during 2026. An unvested RSU grant or an unexercised option grant is not automatically equal to current taxable income.
The estimate applies the 2026 federal standard deduction and ordinary income brackets, employee Social Security and Medicare rates, and the Additional Medicare Tax threshold. It does not model state or local tax, itemized deductions, credits, pre-tax benefits, nonqualified deferred compensation, AMT, option exercise rules, capital gains, or employer payroll cost.
How to Use This Calculator
Enter the annual amounts expected to be taxable in 2026 and select a filing status. Click Calculate Executive Compensation to compare the compensation components with the simplified tax estimate. Avoid entering names, account numbers, grant IDs, or other identifying information.
What Counts as Equity Income Here?
Use the value expected to appear as taxable compensation for the year, such as income recognized when eligible RSUs vest or when certain options are exercised. Do not enter the headline grant-date value unless that same amount is expected to become taxable wages in 2026. Confirm the actual treatment with the plan administrator and a qualified tax professional.
Who Should Use the Executive Compensation Calculator
This tool is useful for executives and candidates comparing pay mixes, compensation teams checking a scenario, and founders planning cash-versus-equity packages. It is not designed for hourly or contractor income.
